As the Director of Grants Management Solutions at FI Consulting, Brette Fishman leads the firm’s support for clients that manage grants and financial assistance programs. From grantee to grantor, pre-award to audits and post-award adjustments, and everything in between, Brette brings over 20 years of experience leading and enhancing financial assistance programs. She specializes in project and program management, continuous process improvement, systems modernization, and change management.
Prior to joining FI Consulting, Brette served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Grants Management at the U.S. Department of Education and held leadership roles at other agencies. She also supported governmentwide financial assistance policy and administration during a one-year detail with the Office of Management and Budget. Brette earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Art in Political Science from UCLA. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS), and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
