Kelly Jenkins is a global risk management and credit risk executive with over 30 years of hands-on industry experience creating value and transforming processes in bank and non-bank financial services settings. Most recognized for her deep credit risk expertise, she has held executive level roles leading credit professionals at mid to large sized banks, providing risk-based independent assurance to management, the board of directors, and regulators—strengthening credit risk management practices, credit quality, and internal policies to promote regulatory safety and soundness. Over the span of her career working across all three lines of defense, Kelly gained a valuable knowledge base in various financial services and risk management disciplines, including commercial and consumer credit, compliance, operational risk, model risk, CECL and ACL, corporate governance, process/SOX controls, and policy. She also has extensive experience working with regulatory agencies, and a proven track record in risk identification, remediation plan development, implementation, and effectiveness testing.
Over her career, through her curiosity and continuous desire to learn, she developed a passion for maximizing organizational effectiveness by leveraging technology, innovation, and data insights to proactively manage risk and ensure requirements and expectations are met in a highly regulated financial services environment. As Managing Director of FI Consulting’s Commercial Practice (COMFI) and member of the Executive Team, she is responsible for strategy, leadership, solutions, and delivery to the company’s private sector financial services clients, who now benefit from her years of lessons learned and experience in bringing proactive, innovative, and practical solutions to real world problems.
